Since its inception way back in 2002, Supanova Comic Con & Gaming has led the charge as Australia’s premier travelling pop culture expo and continues to evolve in new and exciting ways.
To accommodate this growth, Supanova on the Gold Coast (11-12 April 2026) is getting a fantastic glow-up! What does this mean? It means more exhibitors, more Alley Artisans and our largest Cosplay Theatre to date.

Upstairs, you’ll discover our newly enhanced Artist’s Apex, featuring our Supa-Star comic creators, Cosplay HQ, and more Alley Artists and Artisans to browse!
Meet international artists such as Adi Granov and Humberto Ramos, local comic legends including Tom Taylor, Jon Sommariva, David Yardin, Wolf Bylsma, and Scott Wilson from Gestalt Comics and Comics on Country, as well as Neville and the Grail Hunters team for all your CGC needs, and many, many more. If you love comics, then Artist’s Apex has you covered.
But the fun doesn’t stop there, Supa-Fans, as Cosplay HQ is the place to be for all cosplayers! Get your photos snapped by our resident cosplay photographer, Steamkittens, meet our cosplay ambassadors and guests, and in a costume emergency, get patched up by the ever-prepared Cosplay Repair Guild. You can also meet like-minded cosplayers at our group photo meetups and relax with a selection of captivating titles at our Cosplay Library. And for those registered for the Cosplay Showcase or the Cosplay Competition, remember to check in at Cosplay HQ.
But wait, there’s more! There will be over 30 Alley Artists and Artisans from across the realms of the Indie Press Zone, Created Collectables, and Prints Paradise, showcasing a wide range of amazing works for you to peruse and purchase.
Artist Apex is jam-packed with goods and activities, so we hope to see you all there!
Nebula Photography Studio
Due to the sheer number of Supa-Stars packed into our signing area, the Nebula Photography Studio has been given a dedicated room all of its own and is now located next door to the Supanova Seminars room, right opposite the escalators on Level One! Simply head on upstairs 10-15min before your photo session to join the line to get your photo snapped with our amazing Supa-Stars!
For those new to Supanova, Digital Photos are also now available for studio portraits with our Supa-Star guests thanks to the team at Nebula Photography! To save yourself time on the weekend, register for an account on their website ahead of the event, and learn how to redeem your digital copies here.
Located At The Star Theatre
Cosplay Theatre
You could say this major change has been written in the stars. Thanks to our friends at The Star, we’re bringing the biggest stars to the largest stage possible, with The Star Theatre!
Located only a short walk across the pedestrian footbridge directly outside the convention centre, the spacious Star Theatre seats over 1,500 people and is equipped for all wheelchair and accessibility needs via the lifts on the Main Floor of The Star. Since it is located outside the convention centre, we do recommend heading over to the Star Theatre a little earlier than usual to ensure you are in time for all the Star-powered panels.
Change is necessary to set the stage for our biggest Supanova yet.
