She went on to star in the cult series From Dusk Till Dawn, became a regular on the hit comedy Scrubs, and headlined Robert Rodriguez’s Matador alongside Alfred Molina and Gabriel Luna.
Most recently, Whelan starred in the action film Straight Shot opposite Dolph Lundgren, wrapped the lead role in On the Hunt with Til Schweiger, and will soon headline Swipe Right for Danger from Verdi Productions.
Her film credits also include The Binge (with Vince Vaughn), Trauma Center (with Bruce Willis), and the ensemble comedy The Best Man (Luke Wilson). Additional appearances include Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups, as well as Left Behind, Dog Eat Dog, and Inconceivable—all opposite Nicolas Cage.
