Christmas has come early for pop culture lovers, with Riverdale star Camila Mendes confirming as part of the second round of our Melbourne (6-7 April) and Gold Coast (13-14 April) Supa-Star guest announcements for 2019.
Through her portrayal of Veronica Lodge, Mendes has become a key player on The CW’s Riverdale over the show’s past three seasons, which is the hottest property on air at the moment, making this a huge coup for Supanova and its fans.
Also making the trip from Riverdale to Australia will be Jordan Connor, whose recurring role as Southside Serpents bad boy Sweet Pea, as well as an appearance on Supernatural, has made the Canadian actor a fan favourite.
Additionally, fellow CW star and ‘90s The Flash actor Amanda Pays, who recently reprised her role as Christina McGee in the latest reiteration of the show, will also make the trip, alongside Psych’s Corbin Bernsen, who played Henry Spencer on the hit show.
A Hollywood legend in his own right, with over two-hundred appearances to his name, Bernsen’s credits include cult-hit Major League, prime-time ratings success with L.A. Law, and more recently American Gods.
The first batch of literary guests have also arrived, led by multi-award-winning British-Australian author Alan Baxter (Hidden City, The Alex Caine series), Lynette Noni (The Medoran Chronicles, Whisper), Corey J. White (Killing Gravity) and Jodi McAlister (Valentine, Ironheart, Misrule).
The new additions join an already talent-packed line-up, with Teen Wolf heartthrobs Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin, The 100’s Eliza Taylor, Stefan Kapičić (Colossus in Deadpool), Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite, Blades of Glory), Matt Ryan (Constantine, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), Clive Standen (Vikings, Taken), Toby Stephens (Black Sails, Lost in Space), Overwatch’s Jonny Cruz and Lucie Pohl, and Kamui Cosplay already confirmed to appear last month at the 2019 Melbourne and Gold Coast events.
