Supanova Comic Con & Gaming is set to soar into Adelaide next month (31 October – 2 November), before blasting into Brisbane (7-9 November), with three full days of fandom fun in store for each city! With the countdown now officially on, Australia’s premier pop culture convention has announced its latest wave of Supa-Star guests set to make the journey through time and space for the fan-favourite events.
Beloved by Whovians for her award-winning performance as Doctor Who’s Rose Tyler, Billie Piper will make her debut appearance at Supanova this November, exclusively in Adelaide. Attending on Saturday and Sunday only in the southern state, the star is otherwise known for her leading roles in Secret Diary of a Call Girl; Penny Dreadful; and her own BAFTA-nominated series, I Hate Suzie.
From the ‘Bad Wolf’ to the Witch and the Whitelighter, Charmed dream team Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause return to both cities alongside another dynamic duo, as Jordan Elsass joins his previously announced Superman & Lois co-star Alex Garfin, known for their roles as the titular DC icons’ Supa-Star sons.

Meanwhile, making a rare appearance outside of Japan, the original voice of Astro Boy, Mari Shimizu, prepares to make her first-ever trip to Australia. Starring as ‘The Mighty Atom’ from his onscreen inception in 1963 through to the series’ 80s colour remake, anime aficionados won’t want to miss this unique chance to meet the “Mother of Voice Actors” and one of the founding performers of the medium!
From onscreen heroes to the comics that inspire them, ‘Novalaide’ and ‘Brisnova’ are set to host some of the most influential names in the industry, led by the Eisner Award-winning former Creative Director of Marvel Comics and New York Times bestselling author, Jim Krueger, renowned for his work on iconic titles Earth X, Superman, Justice, and Avengers.
Krueger is joined by multidisciplinary powerhouse Jaime Jameson, who has collaborated with the likes of Keith Giffen, P. Craig Russell, and Jim Starlin on titles such as Guardians of the Galaxy, American Gods, and Dreadstar. She is now working with Umbrella Academy’s Gerard Way on a new story for the upcoming Foot Soldiers omnibus.

Finally, Attack of the Clones’ reformed death sticks dealer Matt Doran is back for Brisbane, rounding out an already Supa-Star-studded line-up from a galaxy far, far away, featuring John Boyega, Star Wars Jedi’s Cameron Monaghan, Adelaide exclusive Diana Lee Inosanto, plus so many more.
Supa-Fans can even start the fandom festivities early, as ‘Level Up’ returns on the Friday in each city, powered by ACS (Australian Computer Society)! With select stars expected to attend alongside keynote speakers Adam Spencer and Alex Proyas, now’s the perfect time to purchase Admission Tickets, on sale now ahead of Autograph and Photograph Tokens, which will be released closer to the shows.
