TRAVEL

There are a number of ways you can travel to and from the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre (GCCEC).

The public transport system on the Gold Coast uses the electronic go card but you can still purchase one-off paper tickets from ticketing machines located along the network. See the TransLink website for timetables, journey planning and ticketing information, or phone 13 12 30.

Walk

The GCCEC is a short stroll from Surf Parade, Broadbeach. Follow Victoria Parade (towards the canal) and cross The Gold Coast Highway at the lights.

Drive

There are a couple of parking options should you decide to drive. The GCCEC car park entrance is located at the northern end of the building, accessible from traffic lights off the Gold Coast Highway and the main driveway off TE Peters Drive.

  • Undercover car spaces are available at the GCCEC for short-term parking. A flat rate fee of $15 is charged for car parking at the centre, which is open 24hrs, 7 days a week.
  • Jubilee Avenue Car Park (undercover) is located on the corner of Queensland Avenue and Jubilee Ave, underneath the Qube building. The carpark is open 24 hrs, 7 days a week, with short and long-term parking options available.
Train

The best station to travel to the GCCEC is Helensvale Station. From here you can catch the G-Link Tram directly to the Broadbeach North station, right outside the GCCEC. Alternatively, those coming from the south should head to Nerang Station, and catch a 745 bus service right to Broadbeach South. For more info view the GC transport network map.

Please be advised, that there will be major trackwork on parts of the Airport, Beenleigh, and Gold Coast lines across the weekend, so please ensure you check the Translink Website for further information, and allow additional travel time to and from the venue, to ensure you don’t miss any photograph or autograph sessions.

Bus

While the G:Link Tram connects most of the Gold Coast to the Convention Centre, there are also 2 bus stops near the GCCEC, located on Surf Parade. Visit TransLink’s website for further information on timetables and fares, and the journey planner to plan your trip to the GCCEC.

G:Link

G:link is the Gold Coast’s light rail system connecting Helensvale Station to Broadbeach. Services run 7-days a week, approximately every 15 minutes. A single trip from Surfers Paradise to Broadbeach costs under $3.60 with a go card or $5.10 for a paper ticket. To plan your journey and view fares visit G:link’s website.

Taxi

Taxi ranks are located by the main entrance to the GCCEC: phone: 13 1008

Alternatively you may want to try one of the many ride-share apps available.
