Supa-Saturday in Adelaide is Halloween, and we’d be absolutely beside ourselves if we didn’t lean into all the spooky shenanigans with a special “Spookinova” cosplay event ahead of the Cosplay Showcase!

Registrations are now open (but be sure to read the rules!), so get ready to strut your spookiest stuff and join the fearsome fun, only at Novalaide!

The Supanova Cosplay Competition is back for 2026, along with skits and performances, all hosted on the Sunday, 1 November! We’ve got some guidelines in place to help you (and us!) have the smoothest possible experience, so please check out the Cosplay Competition Rules & Regulations and as always ensure you follow our Weapons Policy so you’re all set for the event itself!

The Competition is also evolving! We’re introducing Pro and Amateur divisions for single entrants, giving cosplayers the chance to compete alongside others with a similar level of experience. Each division will have its own Craftsmanship, Creativity and Judge’s Choice awards, while all entrants will still be in the running for Best in Show. Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned maker, this new structure aims to celebrate the incredible talent and imagination of cosplayers at every level.

Want a more relaxed way to show off your cosplay? Come join the Cosplay Showcase on Saturday, 31st October! This low-stakes, low-stress event is open to cosplayers of all levels of experience to get on stage and strike a pose.
