In four weeks’ time Supanova Comic Con & Gaming will swoop into Sydney (June 16-18), and then onto Perth (June 24-25), bringing with it an outstanding lineup of celebrity ‘Supa-Stars’, and some new and exclusive surprises for fans.
The latest guests to join the list of film and television celebrities appearing at each event are Richard Harmon (The 100, Continuum), David Harewood (Supergirl, Homeland, The Night Manager), and John Jarratt (Boar, Wolf Creek) – who continues in his role as Supanova’s Official Ambassador.
A coup for fans of action too, with martial arts and Hollywood stuntman legend Scott Adkins (Undisputed 2 & 3, The Bourne Ultimatum) appearing as a Sydney-expo exclusive guest; the invite earned after he fought in Doctor Strange recently.
Some of Australia’s most captivating writers will be on hand as well, with Alan Baxter (Alex Caine series) and Cat Sparks (Lotus Blue, The Bride Price) appearing in both cities. Sami Shah (Earth Boy, Fire Boy, I, Migrant), Sulari Gentill (The Hero Trilogy) and Wanda Wiltshire (Betrothed series) will attend the Sydney event, while Lynette Noni (The Medoran Chronicles) and Juliet Marillier (Blackthorn & Grim series, The Bridei Chronicles) join the lineup in Perth.
In addition, Australia’s favourite science commentator for radio and television, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki will pop in for a Sydney-exclusive appearance on Saturday, June 17
Supanova’s The Alley receives a boost with comic book creators Queenie Chan (Fabled Kingdom) in Sydney, and Sarah Searle (Thimble, Sparks, Ruined) and Mark Raats, artist/ illustrator for motion pictures (Star Wars, Indiana Jones), in Perth.
For music fans, Kyle Stevens returns with his band Kirby Krackle, melting faces with their flavor of nerd rock – direct from Seattle.
Unfortunately voice actors Will Friedle and James Arnold Taylor have had to postpone their visit in June, however Will will be joining Supanova in November (the Brisbane/ Adelaide tour), while hoping to host James at a future event.
Keep an eye out next week for further guest announcements; we’ve got plenty more heading your way!
