Jem and the Holograms, Adventure Time, Rugrats
Sarah looks forward to meeting all her fans in Perth in June 2018.
Sarah will give a Q&A panel, and sign autographs throughout Saturday and Sunday in Perth.
Further information on Sarah’s panels will be listed in our Event Programme, released closer to the convention.
Sarah Winifred Searle originally hails from spooky New England and currently lives in sunny Perth, Australia. She writes and draws comics inspired by history, intimacy of all sorts, and the need for better diversity in media.
You might recognize Sarah’s work from her short comics featured in Image’s Twisted Romance and IDW’s Jem and the Holograms: Dimensions series, her covers for Adventure Time, Rugrats, and Valiant’s Faith, and her contributions to many indie anthologies including Smut Peddler, The Secret Loves of Geek Girls, Oh Joy Sex Toy, and many more. Her memoir comic The Price of Acceptance, originally published by The Nib, was shortlisted for Slate’s 2018 Cartoonist Studio Prize.
Currently Sarah is focusing on producing solo graphic novels. Sincerely, Harriet is a quiet middle grade graphic novel about the power of storytelling due from Graphic Universe in 2019; Sparks is an adult Edwardian romance about two women who fall in love while working in service and their subsequent journey toward social and financial independence; and keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming announcement in May concerning a new young adult graphic novel. She was also the co-creator and artist on Fresh Romance’s Ruined series, published by Oni Press.
