The latest instalment of iconic horror franchise Halloween opens in Australia cinemas tomorrow, but, as producer Jason Blum tells Supanova’s Quinny, there were challenges along the way.
Having founded Blumhouse Productions in 2000, Blum’s been responsible for Paranormal Activity, Get Out, The Purge and more, so it makes sense he was enlisted to bring the franchise back to cinemas 40 years after the original was released.
He shares insight into Blumhouse’s approach to the iconic franchise, working with John Carpenter and why horror films need comedy.
