When it comes pop culture conventions, “there can be only one”! With the ‘Quickening’ approach of Supanova Comic Con & Gaming’s three-day return to Adelaide (30 Oct – 1 Nov 2026) and Brisbane (6-8 Nov 2026), Australia’s premier pop culture event has just announced the all-new Supa-Stars now set to join ‘The Gathering’, led by Highlander legend Christopher Lambert.
Best known as the titular ‘Highlander’ in the 1986 cult classic, Lambert reprised his iconic role as Connor MacLeod across multiple sequels, as well as the premiere episode of its long-running TV series. Appearing as Tarzan in 1984’s Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes, Christopher further cemented his genre legacy as Lord Raiden in Mortal Kombat (1995), lending his voice to the god of thunder over two decades later in the Mortal Kombat 11 video game.
While unforeseen work commitments have meant that Firefly’s Gina Torres is no longer able to appear alongside Alan Tudyk, the previously announced celeb will now be joined by another sensational sci-fi co-star, Sara Tomko. Starring as Resident Alien’s Asta Twelvetrees in the ongoing series, Supa-Fans will otherwise recognise Tomko as Tiger Lily in the hit show Once Upon a Time.

Supa-Star Rena Owen returns following the recent success of Disney’s live-action Moana, in which she plays Gramma Tala. Renowned for her acclaimed role in the New Zealand classic Once Were Warriors, Owen has also carved out her place in a galaxy far, far away as Star Wars’ Taun We.
Rounding out the Brisbane exclusives en route in November are Jamison Newlander, star of horror classics The Lost Boys and The Blob; plus ‘American Ninja’ Michael Dudikoff, appearing only on Saturday. There’s still great news in store for Adelaide fans, however, with previously announced exclusive Bruce Hopkins now joining the Lord of the Rings fellowship in both cities!
For TTRPG gamers, ‘The Scoundrolls’ are in no short supply. Representing the fan-favourite celebrity role-playing group, Supanova is proud to welcome first-time Supa-Stars Tommy Gofton (The Deadliest Dungeon, Legacy of Worlds), Andrew Wincott (Baldur’s Gate 3, The Witcher), Jason Spisak (Arcane, Young Justice), and Mela Lee (Mortal Kombat 11, Apex Legends); with Supanova alum Carolina Ravassa (Overwatch, X-Men ’97) and Lucie Pohl (Overwatch), plus previously announced guest Faye Mata (Konosuba!, Fate/Apocrypha).

Literature lovers won’t want to miss the internationally acclaimed author of the Artisan and Glacian trilogies, Stacey McEwan, making her Supa-Star debut hot on the heels of the release of her latest bestseller, A Forsaken Prophesy. Meanwhile, comic book fans will have the chance to meet American artist Arthur Suydam, known for his work on major titles including Marvel Zombies, Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth, Conan the Barbarian, and more.
With three full days of Supa-Powered fun coming to each city, fans can book their admission tickets now via Leap Events, with Autographs and Photo-Ops to be released closer to the shows. For all the latest news, stay tuned to our website and social media channels.
