After taking flight with the announcement of Zombie Plane earlier this month, Supanova Comic Con & Gaming’s complete Showcase Australia! line-up has landed, celebrating Australia’s best film, television, animation and gaming in Adelaide (31 October – 2 November) and Brisbane (7-9 November).
Kicking things off in Adelaide is Pro Jank Footy, an absurdist AFL-inspired comedy game featuring commentary from Broden Kelly of Aunty Donna. Creators David Ashby and Tyler Roach will be joined by producer Cam Rogers for a panel that will discuss the 2026 title, which is Umbrella Gaming’s first acquisition.
Supa-Fans in Adelaide will get an exciting first-look at haunting animated short The Fractured, a dark fable about fear, greed, and the cost of survival, as well as insight into charming animation Wishes: Windows & Nests, which took out Short Film Production of the Year at the 2025 Screen Producers Awards.
Upcoming horror Dropbear will claw its way to Adelaide, as “Koala King” himself, aka actor Yoz Mensch, is joined by castmates Kieran McNamara and Jessica Burgess alongside writer, producer and director John deCaux for a Q&A, while the cast and crew of thriller Within The Pines will also make some noise in SA.
Primitive War
The horror continues as zombies return to Adelaide and Brisbane with the cast and crew of dystopian tragi-comic drama Residence shuffling into both shows after a Supanova debut earlier this year.
Also in Brisbane, Aussie cult filmmaker Luke Sparke, director of Occupation: Rainfall, Red Billabong, Bring Him To Me, and Scurry, will take the stage following the recent release of his heart-pounding thriller Primitive War.
Producer Judd Tilyard, Special Creature Effects Artist Toby Barron and Makeup Artist Verity Fiction will showcase their work at the event, while also leading the Behind The Beasts: Creatures, Puppets & Make-up On Screen panel.

Brisnova will also welcome the cast and crew of sci-fi Space/Time, mystery series Lakefield, and horror Break A Leg, which round out an eclectic line-up at both shows.
The Showcase Australia! talent join an already Supa-Star-studded line-up, featuring John Boyega, Charmed dream team Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause, Adelaide exclusive Billie Piper, plus so many more.
