With just one month month to go until Australia’s premier pop culture event blasts into Brisbane (7-9 November 2025), Supanova Comic Con & Gaming has been keeping “mad secrets”, revealing MCU Supa-Star Michael Peña as the latest addition to the Brisnova line-up!
Making an exclusive, one-day-only appearance on Sunday, 9 November, Peña is perhaps best known to Supa-Fans for his role as Scott Lang’s comedic offsider, Luis, in Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and its supersized sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Beyond the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this multi-award-winning actor has led some of the most celebrated films of the 21st century. Starring in End of Watch, World Trade Centre, and Crash, which notably took home Best Picture at the 78th Academy Awards, Peña also features in Fury, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Oscar winners American Hustle and Babel.
Most recently, he starred as astronaut José M. Hernández in Prime Video’s biographical drama, A Million Miles Away, having previously led Cesar Chavez as the titular activist, directed by fan-favourite Diego Luna. From the big to the small screen, Michael can be seen in the riveting first season of Narcos: Mexico, spinning out of the hit Netflix series, as well as the action-packed fourth season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan on Prime.
Appearing on Sunday only, Peña joins a roster of Hollywood heavyweights already set to attend Brisbane in November. Blasting into Brisnova, fans won’t want to miss John Boyega (Star Wars, They Cloned Tyrone), Charmed’s Holly Marie Combs and Brian Krause, plus so many more. Admission Tickets are on sale now via Ticketbooth, with Autograph and Photograph Tokens set to be released later this month.
