Prepare to get ‘Lost’ in the magical worlds of your favourite fandoms, as Supanova Comic Con & Gaming returns to the Gold Coast on 9-10 April, with a Supa-Star line-up you definitely won’t want to miss!
After needing to postpone her appearance at last weekend’s Supanova in Melbourne, international Supa-Star Katie Leung is now bringing the magic to the Gold Coast Convention Centre! Best known for her role as Cho Chang in the mega-hit Harry Potter franchise, the actor most recently lent her voice to Caitlyn Kiramman in Netflix’s Arcane, set in the same universe as the League of Legends video game.
Making her Supanova debut, fans will be able to meet Emilie de Ravin, who first rose to prominence in the hit series, Roswell. De Ravin would go on to star as Claire in the Emmy Award-winning phenomenon, Lost, before assuming the mantle of Belle in Once Upon A Time.
Some Supa-Stars just can’t get enough of the convention life! Back for the Gold Coast after their recent appearances in Melbourne, fans won’t want to miss Nicholas Hammond and John Noble. Both legends of the big and small screen, Hammond first ‘thwipped’ into our hearts as Peter Parker in the 1970s The Amazing Spider-Man, while Noble is perhaps best known as Denethor, father of Boromir and Faramir, in the iconic Lord of the Rings trilogy.
You beauty! Mortal Kombat’s Kano a.k.a. Josh Lawson brings the tournament to Queensland fans, returning alongside fellow Supa-Star alumni Lincoln Lewis and Todd Lasance, both known for their time on Home and Away, with Lasance most recognisable for his work on Spartacus and The Vampire Diaries.
Power Rangers: Ninja Storm’s Yellow Wind Ranger Glenn McMillan is also set to appear, while horror fans won’t want to miss Wolf Creek’s one and only Mick Taylor a.k.a. John Jarratt.
Finally, for lovers of anime and video games, be sure to catch Eric Stuart and Ben Prendergast! Stuart is the voice behind many a Supa-Fans’ childhood, portraying Brock and James in the original Pokémon series, as well as Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh!, with Prendergast heard as Fuse in Apex Legends and Patroclus in the acclaimed dungeon crawler, Hades.
Stay tuned for even more literary legends and comics creators still to be revealed!
Tickets to the event are expected to go on sale on Thursday, 10 March via Moshtix. For all the latest news and announcements, keep an eye on our social media channels.
