Some of the country’s best emerging and established filmmakers, animators and developers will find you at Supanova Comic Con & Gaming on the Gold Coast (11-12 April 2026) and in Melbourne (18-19 April 2026), thanks to Showcase Australia!
The cast and crew of Indigenous Australian horror film It Will Find You will stop by both events to unpack their fresh take on a tried-and-true supernatural genre, alongside talent from comedy horror Residence, who return to Supanova after showcasing across the country in 2025.
Also appearing on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne will be Jess Murray, the creator, co-writer and director of charming animation After All, which follows Flynn and Marshall, two mutant filmmakers who dream of making a Hollywood blockbuster, despite living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
With recent news that his recent heart-pounding hit Primitive War has been greenlit for a sequel, Luke Sparke will appear on the Gold Coast to share insights into the prehistoric thriller as well as other fan favourites, such as Occupation: Rainfall, Red Billabong, and Bring Him To Me.
In Melbourne, Supa-Fans will be able to unbox the animation powerhouse of Princess Bento Studio. You may recognise their work from the wildly popular Smiling Friends, Hazbin Hotel, and Koala Man.
And rounding out the Showcase Australia! line-up is Art Of Play with their upcoming Danger Mouse game. Get an exclusive sneak peek with director Ash Nicholls, lead animator Matthew Cutler, and voice actor Dan Moore.
The Showcase Australia! talent join an already stellar line-up including Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings, Black Panther, The Batman), appearing exclusively in Melbourne on Saturday, Karl Urban (The Boys, Mortal Kombat 2, Star Trek), appearing exclusively on the Gold Coast on Sunday, alongside Jamie Campbell Bower (Stranger Things), Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Bonnie Wright (Harry Potter), cast members of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and leading voices from global anime hits including Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen and One Punch Man, making this Supanova tour one of the most expansive celebrations of film, television, anime, comics and gaming in the event’s history.
