UPDATE 02/11/23: Sadly, Supa-Star Georgie Farmer is no longer able to attend Supanova in Adelaide and Brisbane, this fortnight. We look forward to hosting him when he is next able to attend.
UPDATE 19/10/23: Due to factors outside of both the star’s and Supanova’s control, Tomer Capone will no longer be able to join us in Adelaide and Brisbane, this November. Tomer sends his apologies to fans, and hopes to visit Australia sometime in the near future.
Revealing a line-up that won’t leave you wanting for ‘more’, Supanova Comic-Con & Gaming have just announced the latest stars to sign on for their November tour of Adelaide (4-5 November) and Brisbane (11-12 November).
Things are getting ‘Stranger’ for Supanova’s next batch of Supa-Stars with the arrival of Stranger Things’ enigmatic Peanut Butter Smuggler, Nikola Djuricko! Though Đuričko is best known for his role as the Soviet swindler, Yuri Ismaylov, from the fourth season of the Netflix hit, his most recent role was that of Igor in The Machine, alongside Bert Kreischer and Mark Hamill.
Meanwhile, from Evermoor to Nevermore comes first-time Supa-Star Georgie Farmer! Fans will recognise Farmer for his literally petrifying visage as the beanie-wearing gorgon Ajax Petropolus in Wednesday; however, the Netflix star is no stranger to mysteries and magic, having previously portrayed Jake Crossley in Disney’s Evermoor Chronicles.
Also set to make their Supa-Star debut in November is Tomer Capone, otherwise known as Frenchie or The Frenchman in Amazon’s hit series, The Boys. Leveling up this ‘outlandish’ line-up, Outlander’s Richard Rankin will step through the stranding stones, appearing exclusively in Brisbane.
For the bevy of booklovers, Supanova is bringing some of the country’s best literary talent to both cities leading with Lynette Noni, Australia’s #1 young adult fiction author! Noni is the writer of the bestselling Medoran Chronicles, as well as The Prison Healer series, which concluded earlier this year with its third and final instalment, The Blood Traitor.
Joining her is the award-winning horror scribe Alan Baxter, whose upcoming work, Blood Covenant, is due for release in May 2024; and The Assassin Thief author Madeline Te Whiu, scheduled to appear hot on the heels of its sequel, The Soul Thief, hitting shelves on 31 October.
Rounding out this wave of titanic typists is Brisbane exclusive Jessica Townsend, author of the Nevermoor series, the first entry of which, The Trials of Morrigan Crow, won Book of the Year Award at the Australian Book Industry Awards.
Patrons of the arts won’t want to miss returning industry faves Mark Raats (Star Wars, Indiana Jones), David Yardin (Marvel and DC Comics), fantasy artist Anthony Christou, and Neverlanders co-creator Jon Sommariva whose work with Supanova alum Tom Taylor recently took home CBCA Book of the Year for Older Readers.
Veteran artists Greg Holfeld and Tim Mcburnie will attend exclusively in Adelaide, while Lauren Marshall, Jamie Johnson, Mike Krome, Duncan Cunningham, as well as Adam and Wayne Nichols are set to appear only in Brisbane.
General Admission, Supa-Q and VIP Supa-Star Passes are now on sale via Moshtix, with Autograph and Photograph Tokens to follow closer to the events. Remember to mark your calendars and stay tuned to Supanova’s social media channels for all the latest updates.
