Hi, Supa-Fans. This is an important announcement regarding Supanova 2021 – Perth.
It’s with great sadness that we must announce the cancellation of this year’s Supanova in Perth. This is not the news we wanted to deliver, but given the state of things across the country, there is no way around it at this time.
Our team is absolutely heartbroken by this. Perth is one of our favourite cities to visit, and we could not wait to celebrate our love of all things pop culture with all of you once again. Unfortunately, despite investigating alternative dates, it’s just not possible right now, as the vast majority of our team and Supa-Stars, as well as many of our Supa-Hero volunteers and exhibitors, would be unable to enter Western Australia due to ongoing border restrictions.
As difficult as it is for us to be writing this, we understand how much more upsetting this may be for those Perth Supa-Fans who were excited to attend. As much as we would have loved to have brought some additional fun to your beautiful city in 2021, we are committed to returning as soon as we’re physically able, and have our usual W.A. dates locked in for the weekend of 25-26 June 2022. It might feel like forever away, but we’ll be doing everything we can to make sure it’s worth the extra wait.
From the entire Supanova team, thank you for bearing with us in what has been an arduous time for events. We’re working towards some new ways to support our industry and fans, so watch this space.
