The Upside Down is heading Downunder, to turn us inside out with excitement, now that Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven on the Netflix series Stranger Things, has confirmed what all her fans had been hoping for; that she’s finally making it to Australia, after film commitments postponed her visit from earlier in the year. Yes! Millie will be attending our Brisbane and Adelaide events!
The timing of Millie’s visit really couldn’t be more perfect, with season 2 of Stranger Things due for release on Netflix just days before (October 27th). This breakout sensation, and superstar on the rise, shows no sign of abating with a gamut of projects to choose from and the upcoming epic, Godzilla: King of Monsters, already in the can.
Further additions to the Supa-Star celebrity lineup for November include The Librarians’ Christian Kane. His appearance makes for a mini Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunion, with his Buffy co-stars James Marsters and Nicholas Brendon also in attendance.
Boosting the sci-fi appeal is international bestselling author Kass Morgan. Her highly popular post apocalyptic series The 100 was adapted for television, the series now in its fifth season.
Well-known science commentator Dr Karl Kruszelnicki will also be on hand to meet fans. With more than 40 books to his name, Australia’s National Living Treasure is soon to release his next book: The Universe and Everything.
Adding to the Marvel squad is Chris Sprouse. The American illustrator currently pencils the interior art for Marvel’s Black Panther. He is also well known for his work on his co-creator owned title Tom Strong, and the mini series Thors.
Last but not least in this round of announcements is comic artist Dean Rankine, whose credits include the Simpsons, Futurama, and Hellboy comics. He’s also the mastermind behind the rascally Itty Bitty Bunnies in Rainbow Pixie Candy Land comic series.
With just announced stars like Stan ‘The Man’ Lee (Brisbane only) joining the new guests above, in addition to the confirmed stars below, it’s best if fans run, not walk, in securing their tickets which are on sale now!
