Netflix Has Released A Stranger Things 8-bit Game And It’s Amazing

October 6, 2017Skye Bristow

Just when you thought the nostalgia delivered by Stranger Things couldn’t get anymore intense, Netflix releases a free 8-bit game for iOS and Android.

The surprise release of Stranger Things: The Game comes three weeks before the show’s highly anticipated second season and they’ve gone to great lengths to replicate the classic adventure games of the ‘80s.

For starters, the app icon is a Stranger Things NES cartridge.

“Stranger Things are afoot again in Hawkins, Indiana. Join Hopper and the kids on a new, action-packed adventure!” reads the game’s description.

“Explore Hawkins and its surroundings. See your favorite locations like Mirkwood Forest and Hawkins Lab. Uncover exciting areas you’ve never seen before.”

“Solve puzzles with the unique abilities of each character. Lucas can nail anything with his Wrist Rocket. Nancy has a whole set of bats to swing this time. Collect all the Eggos and Gnomes you can lay your hands on. You never know what they might unlock.”

Head to the App Store or Google Play to check it out.

Stranger Things season two hits Netflix October 27, with Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) appearing at Supanova Brisbane and Adelaide next month.
