We’re proud to announce a partnership with Guinevere Capital and present our newest eSports team, Supa-Stellar!
Guinevere Capital’s Dave Harris said “We are really excited to be bringing an all-female CS:GO eSports team on board and to be partnering with Supanova, who will be both an integral part of the team’s brand as well as provide fantastic exposure to the players. The playing group clearly have ambitions to continuously develop their level of play and produce results in open competition. There are no physiological reason females can’t compete with male counter-parts in eSports, so any current performance gap in competition comes down to a lack opportunity and support. We are confident the team will develop into an aspirational brand, alongside the LG Dire Wolves franchise already in our portfolio”.
Team Captain Mads “Shadowfax” Brown added “The team is incredibly excited to be partnering with Guinevere Capital and Supanova Comic Con & Gaming who are both known for their excellence and continued support for gaming in the Oceanic region. From the start our team’s top priority has been striving to improve at the game we love and we’re ecstatic that both Guinevere Capital and Supanova Comic Con & Gaming want to support us in this goal. We can’t wait to see what this year brings for us as a team.”
Daniel Zachariou, Supanova’s founder and event director, commented “We’ve always known our passionate Supanova entertainment fans also loved gaming, and our research confirmed our suspicions. Now we’re offering hands-on gaming experiences at all our events, live streaming on Twitch, and a new eSports team, Supa-Stellar, for our national audience to rally behind. These are exciting times at Supanova.”
A number of industry leading premium brand partners have already come on board to support the team including: Twitch, ROCCAT, mWave, ZQ Racing and BLK. The officially launch of the team jersey and talent appearances by players with fans, will be part of the upcoming Supanova Gold Coast Expo April 22-23 and Supanova Melbourne April 28-30.
