About Guest
George Ivanoff is a Melbourne author and fanboy who has written science fiction, fantasy, media-tie in and a whole heap of other stuff. His media tie-in books and short stories include adventures in the worlds of The X-Files, Doctor Who, Lethbridge-Stewart, UNIT, The Lucy Wilson Mysteries, Night Terrace, Deadworld and even Behind The News (BTN). His books for kids and teens include the Gamers trilogy, the interactive You Choose series, the RFDS Adventures, the OTHER WORLDS series, and the non-fiction Survival Guides; as well as a ton of school readers and educational books. His latest books are The Supernatural Survival Guide and Lethbridge-Stewart: Fear Frequency. George’s books and stories have been shortlisted for numerous awards and he’s even managed to win a few of them.
George has, on occasion, moonlighted as an actor although most of his roles are of the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it variety. He’s a graduate of Melbourne’s National Theatre Drama School. In his film and television appearances he has managed to incorrectly deliver a pot plant on Neighbours, lecture at a university in Frozen Butterflies and be irritatingly arrogant in just one scene as Major Jones in William Kelly’s War. But his favourite role was as the manipulative writer Scribe in an episode of the sci-fi audio comedy series Night Terrace.
George drinks too much coffee, eats too much chocolate and watches too much Doctor Who (only kidding… there is no such thing as too much Doctor Who). He has one wife, two children and an uncontrollable imagination. And he collects sonic screwdrivers.
