David Follett is an award winning South Australia-based comic creator with a passion for writing and drawing stories for all ages. His award winning science fiction graphic novel debut Uncle Silas: GENETIS (Dark Horse, 2010) garnered terrific reviews and work on the epic sequel, Uncle Silas 2: EARTH set almost entirely in the Naracoorte Caves, South Australia, is well under way and you can become a supporter via his Patreon page.
David’s popular newspaper comic strips Harry the Dog – NewsHound and Kookabarry both ran in Sydney’s Sunday Telegraph for years and were nominated for several awards. Kookabarry also saw print in France’s immensely popular weekly comics anthology Le Journal de Mickey.
When not creating comics, David is an award winning freelance Illustrator through www.watermarkcreative.co and is kept very busy illustrating for editorial, packaging and publishing industries both locally and abroad, as well as storyboarding, visualising and character designing for television commercials, animation series and movies. His latest storyboard credits include Kitty Is Not A Cat (Channel 7), Monster Beach (Cartoon Network) and the Mortal Kombat movie, currently in production in South Australia.
David is also busy working on his YA fantasy adventure graphic novel Fia & Miguel and has several other comics projects bubbling away. If he’s lucky, he’ll get to finish them all one day.
