Christopher Sequeira is an award-winning editor, writer and conceptualist of some of Australia’s most popular literary and comic-book projects, and also produces work for international markets. In genre prose fiction he created Sherlock Holmes: The Australian Casebook; Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Was Not; and co-created War of the Worlds: Battleground Australia. In comics he’s scripted for Marvel (X-Men, Iron Man), DC (Justice League Adventures; 9-11 Artists Respond), Dynamite (Justice, Inc.-The Avenger), Boom! Studios (Cthulhu Tales), Frew Publications (The Phantom, and Planetman), Black House Comics (Sherlock Holmes: Dark Detective) and he’s just been appointed as Editor-In-Chief of IPI Comics, the new publishing division of IFWG Publishing International. In 2021, with frequent collaborator W. Chew Chan he begins teaching a comics creation course for accredited education entity, Waterloo Studios.
Exclusively at Supanova, in 2021, Chris is extremely excited to be launching Volume 3 in the Cthulhu Deep Down Under series he edits with Steve Proposch and Bryce Stevens. The book is almost entirely all-new Lovecraftian fiction by Australia’s best genre writers including rock-God Steve Kilbey, Alan Baxter, Cat Sparks, Steve Proposch, Jason Fischer, David Conyers, and others; and features an Intro by esteemed American editor and writer, Cat Rambo, and an Afterword by SF legend Jack Dann.
Chris will be happy to see fans and talk about the above projects, or IPI Comics, or the forthcoming bookstore edition of graphic novel Superaustralians (with 25 Aussie collaborators and Spider-Man co-creator, the late Steve Ditko’s never-before published letter of support); and Caped Fear: Horror Stories of Superhumans, the blockbuster collection of fiction he’s co-edited with Proposch and Stevens featuring names like George R. R. Martin, Jim Krueger, Colleen Doran, Neil Gaiman, Mark Waid and others.
