‘Live’ through the power of the Internet, legendary Director Zack Snyder is set to make an exclusive, digital appearance at Supanova Comic Con & Gaming on Saturday, 22 May in Melbourne!
Promoting his all new, action-packed Netflix film, Army of the Dead, Snyder will join from the United States to answer audience questions at a live Q&A panel on Saturday morning (10:30am, 22 May). The virtual Q&A will be hosted by Alexei Toliopoulos and Gen Fricker from Netflix’s The Big Film Buffet podcast, and will take place on the Supanova main stage, dubbed the ‘Army of the Dead Theatre’. The Q&A will be followed by a screening of the film later in the afternoon (R18+). Fans will also get the opportunity to mix with some Vegas inspired zombies as part of a photo stop outside the ‘Army of the Dead Theatre.’
Can’t make it on the Saturday? No sweat! Highlights from the Q&A will be available in a special Supanova Snack episode of Netflix’s The Big Film Buffet podcast on Tuesday, 25 May on Spotify. An encore screening of Army of the Dead will also close out the Melbourne event on Sunday – the perfect conclusion to an awesome weekend!
Having recently made headlines with his record-breaking epic, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Zack is widely considered one of the most iconic filmmakers currently working in the industry. Setting the benchmark for graphic novel gravitas with Watchmen and Man of Steel, Army of the Dead sees him return to the genre that first launched his career with his 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead.
Army of the Dead follows a group of mercenaries in Las Vegas, as they take the ultimate gamble by venturing into a zombie quarantine zone for the greatest heist ever. Starring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell and more, the film, rated R18+, is set to premiere on Netflix on Friday, 21 May.
Due to the film’s R18+ rating, the film screenings will be strictly adults only.
