Supanova Comic Con & Gaming is set to make its 2021 return with its first ever online Supa-Star event! Taking place on Saturday, 13 February, Supanova has joined forces with Modern Films to present an interactive online screening of A Place Among The Dead, a revealing and terrifying exploration of our fascination with vampires, starring Juliet Landau, Gary Oldman, Ron Perlman and more.
Writer, director and star of the film, Juliet Landau, best known for her portrayal of Drusilla in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will join fans for a live Q&A, interactive Zoom chat and quiz after the screening, alongside co-star and fellow Buffyverse alumnus Harry Groener a.k.a. Sunnydale’s Mayor Richard Wilkins.
Veteran film and theatre actress Dawn Didawick is also set to attend, who fans will recognise from her roles in the multi-award winning Erin Brockovich, Hart of Dixie and Pretty Little Liars.
No film would be complete without its behind the scenes crew, as writer, cinematographer and executive producer Deverill Weekes can attest. Having collaborated with industry legends such as David Lynch and Rosanna Arquette, Weekes is joined by the film’s poster artist Mark McHaley (known for his licensed artwork for Star Wars, Indiana Jones and The X-Files) and composer Monica Richards, bringing their technical expertise to the quiz.
