UPDATE 14/05/2024: Unfortunately, scheduling changes mean that AJ Michalka will no longer be able to attend Supanova in Sydney. She will now attend Perth only, alongside her sister Aly who is still slated to appear in both cities.
As the countdown to the centennial Supanova #100 continues, Supanova Comic Con and Gaming has announced a new line-up of destructive deities, vexing vampires, heroes for fun, bionic babes, and more, for Supanova #97 (22-23 June) in Sydney, and Supanova #98 (29-30 June) in Perth!
Headlining Supanova’s scintillating Supa-Stars is Sophia Di Martino, known for playing the tortuous trickster goddess Sylvie from the MCU’s Loki, and, fresh out of the jumpgate, creator of several iconic sci-fi series including Babylon 5, Crusade, Sense8 and more, J. Michael Straczynski!
Joining Di Martino and Straczynski is pop star and wicked witch Kat Graham, known for her portrayal of mainstay Bonnie Bennett on The Vampire Diaries, and April O’Neil in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
From the Whoniverse and world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, James Marsters returns to Supanova! Marsters became a pop culture icon via his roles as Spike in Buffy and its spin-off Angel, Captain John Hart in Torchwood, as well as lending his voice to the villain Zamasu in Dragon Ball Super.
These sci-fi Supa-Stars are joined by even more big and small screen legends in the form of Terminator 2: Judgment Day’s T-1000 and Auggie Smith from Peacemaker, Robert Patrick! Dropping in alongside him is original Bionic Woman, Lindsay Wagner, Star Wars fan-fave Temuera Morrison (Sydney only), musician and actor duo AJ (Perth only) and Aly Michalka (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Hellcats), Steve Bisley (Mad Max), and Neil Fanning (Scooby-Doo).
Supanova is also set to host some amazing Supa-Stars from inside the recording booth, leading with Debi Derryberry, the voice of Jimmy Neutron! Aside from the Boy Genius, Derryberry has played Draculaura in Monster High, Wednesday Addams in the 1992 Addams Family cartoon, and Diana the future cat in Sailor Moon.
Anime fans roll a Natural 20, as Jujutsu Kaisen’s King of Curses, Sakuna a.k.a Ray Chase joins the line-up alongside One Punch Man’s titular hero for fun Max Mittelman, and Critical Role‘s Dorian Storm, Robbie Daymond. The trio will bring with them their live stage-show L.A.V.A (Loud, Annoying, and Very Annoying), exclusively to Supanova!
For literature lovers, the author of BookTok sensation The Fourth Wing and the Empyrean series Rebecca Yarros will also descend onto Supanova, alongside Sydney exclusive guest, Artgerm, the brilliant cover artist for Marvel, DC, Capcom, and other entertainment giants.
Admission tickets, Autographs and Photo-Ops will go on sale closer to the Sydney and Perth events in June. For all the latest news and Supa-Star entertainment, stay tuned to Supanova’s website and social media channels.
