Levi Cleeman is a Perth-based illustrator, comic creator, and educator with three decades of experience producing award-winning traditional and digital artwork. Inspired by the great fantasy artists and storytellers, Levi has built a diverse career spanning illustration, graphic design, publishing, as well as teaching children’s art class and exhibiting around Australia at Supanova and other pop-culture conventions.
In 2026, Levi successfully self-published his debut graphic novel, Death Roll: Volume One, through Kickstarter. The campaign achieved national recognition, winning first place for Most Funded Book at the Australian Comic Kickstarter Awards and placing third for Most Backed project.
Death Roll follows Forrest Clay, a battle-scarred American Bulldog and former Army Ranger, in an anthropomorphic world, as he embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue his brother from a ruthless reptilian gang controlling an illegal meat trade and hunting operation. The graphic novel has been described by acclaimed comic artist Jon Sommariva as “Tarantino meets Zootopia.”
Alongside his creator-owned work, Levi has produced officially licensed artwork for the internationally bestselling Dungeon Crawler Carl franchise, creating illustrations for toys, apparel, and merchandise sold through major retailers including Target, Hot Topic, Barnes & Noble, and Ripple Junction. His variant cover for the Dungeon Crawler Carl comic series, published by Vault Comics, was released in August 2026. He has also illustrated cover artwork for The Phantom comics.
Over the past decade, Levi has worked with clients and brands around the world, delivering artwork across a wide range of industries and formats. His portfolio includes comic books, book covers, album artwork, military and first responder patches, apparel design, logos, concept art, stickers, puzzles, playmats, and collectible action figure designs.
