Benny is a 30-year-old Aussie with a big dream. He wants to be a social media star, but the problem is he sucks. Fed up with him and their relationship going nowhere, his girlfriend dumps him, forcing Benny to move back in with his Middle Eastern parents who want him to grow up and get a real job.
Life is looking pretty crap until Benny sees a TV news report about a recent sighting of the infamous Blue Mountains black panther. A long-standing urban myth, according to legend it lives deep in the Western Sydney bushland, but so far no one has proved its existence. Finding it is just what Benny needs to make his channels blow up, get his parents off his back and win back his girl.
Grabbing his mates, Benny heads out to the mountains to camp for the weekend, but the old couple who last saw the panther aren’t giving good material, it’s pouring with rain and he also doesn’t have a phone charger. When one of the boys disappears and strange things start happening, the boys realise they’re now the ones being hunted. Can Benny catch the cat and become the legend he knows he is? Or will the price of fame also be his life?
A hilarious comedy horror feature, Bloody Legend is about dreaming big in the social media age, friendship and trying to survive whatever the hell is in the Australian bush.
