Getting there

There are a number of ways you can travel to and from the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre (GCCEC).

The public transport system on the Gold Coast uses the electronic go card but you can still purchase one-off paper tickets. See the TransLink website for timetables, journey planning and ticketing information, or phone 13 12 30.

Walk

The GCCEC is a short stroll from Surf Parade, Broadbeach. Follow Victoria Parade (towards the canal) and cross The Gold Coast Highway at the lights.

Drive

There are a couple of parking options should you decide to drive. The GCCEC car park entrance is located at the northern end of the building, accessible from traffic lights off the Gold Coast Highway and the main driveway off TE Peters Drive.

  • Undercover car spaces are available at the GCCEC for short-term parking. A $10.00 (incl. GST) flat rate is charged for car parking at the centre, which is open 24hrs, 7 days a week.
  • Main Place Car Park (undercover) is located on the corner of Queensland Avenue and Gold Coast Highway, Broadbeach. There is an hourly charge of $1.80 and is open 9am to 7pm Monday to Saturday, and 9am to 5pm on Sunday.

Train

The nearest station to the GCCEC is Nerang. You can catch the 745 bus from Nerang Station, which will take you to Broadbeach South Light Rail Station, then it’s a short walk from there to the Convention Centre. View the GC transport network map.

Bus

There are 2 bus stops near the GCCEC, one located directly outside on the Gold Coast Highway (route 700 – Broadbeach South Station, Stop C), and nearby on Victoria Avenue (route 705). Visit TransLink’s website for further information on timetables and fares.

G:link

G:links the Gold Coast’s light rail system connecting Griffith University to Broadbeach. Services run 7-days a week, approximately every 15 minutes. A single trip from Surfers Paradise to Broadbeach costs under $4.00 with a go card or $5.20 for a paper ticket. To plan your journey and view fares visit G:link’s website.

Accessibility

The GCCEC and Supanova are committed to providing equitable access to all visitors.

Wheelchair access is available to all areas of the building, including wheelchair lift access from the car park where ample disability bays are located beside the elevator on the first basement level.

Specially designed bathrooms are also located on all levels. Public bathrooms and lift facilities throughout the Centre have Braille signs, and a mobile hearing augmentation system ensures clearer reception throughout the venue.

Tactile warning indicators to stairs, ramps and other changing conditions comply with all laws governing safety. Please see the floor plan for details.

Supanova welcomes carer cards and service animals. Should you have any special requirements during the expo please ask one of our helpful volunteers.

Parent’s room

The GCCEC provides access to an on-site Parent’s Room that is conveniently located on the ground floor of the building near the main entrance. Parents are provided with basic facilities. A drop down nappy station located in the bathroom next door.

ATMs

Several ATMs are located within the GCCEC, the closest one is on the concourse. We advise however you to bring cash with you before arriving on site.
