UPDATE: 13/10 – due to an extension of his current film requirements, Tyler has had to sadly cancel his appearance in Brisbane. Adelaide fans can maintain their excitement however as Tyler will still be flying in for Supanova Adelaide.
Tyler will participate in a general admission Q&A, and signing sessions Saturday (12:00pm to 5.30pm) and Sunday (11am to 5pm) in Adelaide in November 2017.
Tyler Hoechlin (pronounced “heck-lin”) is best known as Derek Hale from the supernatural television drama, Teen Wolf.
As an actor since the age of 9, Hoechlin’s big break came at the age of 14 when he was chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 young men auditioning for the role of Michael Sullivan Jr, the son of Tom Hanks’ character in Road to Perdition (2002).
Soon after Tyler landed the recurring role of Martin Brewer in the feel-good family drama, 7th Heaven (2003 – 2006). During this time he was nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Breakout Male Star.
After 7th Heaven, Tyler made appearances in the televisions shows CSI: Miami, Castle and Lincoln Heights before taking the lead role of Derek Hale in the popular television series, Teen Wolf. From seasons 1 to 4, Tyler has played Derek, a werewolf with a dark past.
No stranger to the supernatural theme, Tyler was offered the role as Emmett Cullen in the Twilight saga, but turned it down to play college baseball. Tyler’s previous film roles include Hall Pass and Solstice.
Tyler currently stars as Clark Kent/ Superman in the series Supergirl. He will next be seen as Boyce Fox in the next instalment of the Fifty Shades of Grey series, Fifty Shades Freed (due for release in 2018).
