The Australian comics industry may not be as big as the rest of the world but there are two companies in particular who are releasing some incredibly exciting and ground breaking entries onto the world comic books stage.
Gestalt Comics was started in 2005 and has been behind some of the most exceptional graphic novel releases in the country. Recently their books The Eldrich Kid, Torn and The Deep were nominated for the Aurealis Awards, which The Deep ended up winning. We are pleased to welcome four of the Gestalt creators to the June Supanova expos.

Black House Comics is an Australian publisher specialising in comic books and graphic novels. Headed by publisher Baden Kirgan, the company launched a preview of its first book, The Twilight Age, at Supanova Sydney in 2008. Since then, the company has launched another 10 titles including The Dark Detective: Sherlock Holmes, a gothic but faithful interpretation of the world’s greatest detective and Paul Mason’s The Soldier Legacy.
