Hayden Panettiere (Postponed)

Hayden Leslie Panettiere was born on 21st August 1989 in Palisades, New York. She still lives in New York with her parents, Lesley and Skip Panettiere, and younger brother Jansen Panettiere. Her mom got her started in the business by doing commercials when she was just 11 months old. Then, at only 4 1/2, she was cast on the soap opera "One Life to Live", where she remained until 1997. Since then, she has gone on to appear in many feature films and TV movies.

Hayden starred in Remember the Titans with Denzel Washington and Joe Somebody with Tim Allen. When Hayden isn't working, she enjoys singing, dancing, horseback riding, gymnastics, taking piano lessons, and swimming.

She has been involved with many animated movies, beginning with A Bug's Life as "Dot", later to follow was Dinosaur, the video game Kingdom Hearts, and The Mark of Kri. In 2003 she joined the likes of Jessica Lang, Tom Wilkinson, Jane Anderson and Clacy Brown in 'Normal' the movie about a midwestern husband and father who announces his plans to have a sex change operation. In July of the same year Hayden appeared in a John Guare play called, "Landscape of the Body", for the Williams town theatre festival, in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

A string of impressive guest turns led to recurring roles on Ally McBeal (as the title character's long-lost daughter) and Malcolm in the Middle, as well as her first leading film role in 2005's Racing Stripes. In 2006, she donned a cheerleading outfit and held the fate of the world in her hands as one of the superpowered stars of the NBC drama Heroes.

Save the Cheerleader, Save the world!

It's almost too painful for words, but here they are: Hayden can't make it to Sydney and Perth because NBC have suddenly fast-tracked production on "Heroes" in case a threatened actors' strike takes place in July. As of today, NBC is refusing to release any talent from production for anything at all. Please note that this is a new strike whose suggested timing is based on the expiration of existing agreements in Hollywood, and it is not related to the 2007-8 writers' strike.

Through her representative, Hayden sent us this statement:

"Unfortunately, due to scheduling, Hayden Panettiere will not be able to attend the Supanova events in Sydney and Perth this June. All attempts were made to reschedule, but it was just not possible at this time. This is not a cancellation, however, but a postponement. Hayden was and is very excited to have the opportunity to visit Australia and meet the attendees at the Supanova events and is looking forward to attending Supanova events in the near future."

SUPA HERO FAN PASS holders please be advised that your tickets are refundable through Ticketek (they are sending a letter on Monday with instructions) as they were specifically developed for Hayden's fans. However, if you wish to wait and see who we secure as her replacement guest, you may wish to choose to wait a few days before making your decision. Believe us, we’re aiming high.

All of the team at Supanova appreciates your understanding on this matter. We too are disappointed that she can't make it, massively, but we look forward to Hayden joining us once this strike problem is over.
