Zoie Palmer is a Canadian actress, born in England of British and Irish parents. She went to Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Newmarket, Ontario, and earned her B.F.A. at York University in Toronto, Canada, and has since been featured in a variety of film and television projects, including the critically acclaimed The Reagans as Patti Reagan and Out of the Ashes as Didi Goldstein.

She starred in Devil’s Perch (2005) (TV) and had a recurring role in the popular CTV music drama “Instant Star”  as rock singer Patsy Sewer. She was a co-lead in the Global drama “The Guard”  as Carly Greig. Zoie has guest-starred in the American television action drama “Nikita” in the episode “Girl’s Best Friend” as Anya Vimer; in the HBO Canada comedy “Call Me Fitz” episode “Don of Differently Abled” as Laura; and the season finale episode “The Shooting” of the CTV crime drama “The Listener”  as Staff Sgt. McCoy.

Zoie plays Dr. Lauren Lewis, a human doctor and scientist, in the hit Showcase fantasy crime drama “Lost Girl”. A human owned by the Ash, Dr. Lauren Lewis (real name Karen Beattie) serves as a private physician for the Light Fae. Her position earns her the respect of the Light Fae, despite being human. She was bewitched by Bo during their first meeting and has since fallen in love with her.

Film work includes the award winning short Terminal Venus as Annabelle; horror thriller Devil (2010) as Cheryl; crime thriller Cold Blooded as police officer Frances Jane; and the comedy Sex After Kids as Lou.

Zoie Palmer was nominated for a Best Actress ACTRA Award (Ca) for her performance as Haley in The Untitled Work of Paul Shepard. She was awarded Best Actor for “Terminal Venus” at the Baja California Film Festival and Best Actress in a Feature Movie for “Cold Blooded” at the BareBones International Film Festival.

Zoie looks forward to meeting all her fans at both the Brisbane and Adelaide expos in 2013. There are signing* and photo* sessions throughout each Saturday (10.30am to 5.30pm) and Sunday (11am to 5pm) excluding breaks and there’s a general admission Q&A during each weekend.
