Tony was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, he attended Southern Connecticut State University graduating in 1974. While an undergraduate student at Southern Connecticut State University, he performed as the leading man in several musicals at Sacred Heart Academy, an all-girls college preparatory high school in Hamden, Connecticut.
After that, he went on to attend Temple University in Philadelphia, graduating in 1977 with a Master of Fine Arts Degree. He taught theatre classes at Southern Connecticut State University, including a course in Stage Speaking, during the Spring semester of 1978. Then in the same year, he decided to make the move to Los Angeles to find work in film and television. Though this move was originally meant to be temporary, he lives there with his wife to this day.
Tony is a theatre-trained actor, and he has a long history of stage performances. Some of these include: “American Buffalo” as “Teach”; “Othello” as “Iago”; “Filumena” as “Domenico”; and “Taming of the Shrew” as “Petruchio”. He is best known to Supanova fans however for his long standing recurring role of Bra’Tac in the long running Sci-Fi series Stargate SG-1. He has also appeared in other TV genre favourites such as Dexter, Dollhouse and CSI: New York as well as feature films including: The Legend of Zorro, The Mark of Zorro, and Blow.
Tony speaks Spanish and Italian and some of his interests include: Italian cooking, museums, art galleries and yoga.
Tony looks forward to seeing all his fans at both the Brisbane and Melbourne shows and will be appearing each Saturday 10.30am to 5.30pm and each Sunday 11am to 5pm for autographs and signings. He will be conducting at least one publically accessible Q&A panel during the course of each expo.
