Scott Kurtz and Kris Straub from Penny Arcade and PvP!

Scott Kurtz: The creator of Smash-hit webcomic “PvP”. What started out as a small backyard project now is classed as a massive success story, with around 100,000 unique visitors per day as of August 2005. On February 1, 2007, it became the subject of its own animated series.

Scott is an American cartoonist who began his career with his daily strip, Captain Amazing, which appeared for four semesters in the University of North Texas college paper. His first work to appear on the internet was Wedlock and Samwise, which he began in 1998. His latest and longest-running project, PvP has been appearing daily since May 4, 1998.  Scott also performs in “Kris and Scott’s Scott and Kris Show” with his long time friend and colleague…

Kristofer Straub: is the creator of webcomics “Checkerboard Nightmare”, “Starslip”, “Time Friends”, “Origin Story”, and more recently “Chainsawsuit and F Chords”. He is also the co-founder of webcomics collectives “Blank Label Comics” and “Halfpixel”.

Straub voiced the character of Brent Sienna in “PVP: The series” and co-creates “Blamimations” with Scott Kurtz, for Penny Arcade. He also manages and writes for the horror fiction site Ichor Falls.

Scott and Kris are both hosting the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra event “Video Games Unplugged” the details for which can be found HERE. It promises and evening of beautiful music from such gaming classics as Secret of ManaFinal Fantasy and even Uncharted 2!

Scott and Kris look forward to meeting all their fans at both the Melbourne Supanova expo exclusively in 2012. There are signing and photo sessions throughout each Saturday (10.30am to 5.30pm) and Sunday (11am to 5pm) excluding breaks and a general admission Q&A during each weekend.
