The exotically-named Manu Intiraymi has a Hawaiian first name and an Incan surname, thanks to his adventurous parents, with whom Manu travelled extensively during his childhood. At the age of four, Manu saw a production of ‘Peter Pan’ and was seized by a passion for acting. His classes led him to the P.C.P.A California Conservatory and onward to Hollywood, where he trained at the Howard Fine Studio and Playhouse West before working in television, film and theatre productions including ‘Waiting for Godot’, ‘Marvin’s Room’, and ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
He made his silver-screen debut in the film ‘Senseless’, starring David Spade and Marlon Wayans. Other film work includes a starring role in ‘Whatever It Takes’, plus supporting roles in Doug Liman’s cult hit ‘Go’, ‘Orange County’, and ‘Pearl Harbor’. On the small screen, Manu has appeared in The CW’s ‘One Tree Hill’, ‘Las Vegas’, ’24’, ‘The King of Queens’, ‘Jag’, ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’, and ‘Unhappily Ever After’.
Manu’s recurring role as the young Borg, Icheb, on ‘Star Trek: Voyager’ began in early 2000 as a single-episode arc but soon developed into a significant recurring role that saw him appear throughout seasons six and seven.
In addition to acting, Manu has recently ventured into writing and producing.
