Born and raised in Gippsland, Australia, Madeleine Rosca earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Monash University before travelling to Melbourne to study Multimedia and Animation. After being employed as a graphic designer she moved to Hobart, Tasmania to pursue her own creative work. Madeleine has published three volumes of her popular award-winning manga series Hollow Fields.
She has worked as a freelance illustrator with clients such as Melbourne-based publisher Text Publishing, Australian rock singer Sarah McLeod and US-based manga publisher Seven Seas Entertainment, and is currently writing a new manga series for US fantasy publisher Tor for release in late 2012.
