Leah Gibson Guest

Leah Gibson grew up in Victoria, a small city on Vancouver Island, in Canada. She has a twin sister – “the love of her life” – Erin, who lives with her husband in Doha, the capital city of Qatar.

Leah and her sister began dancing at the age of four, marking the beginning of many years of training and performance in ballet, modern, contemporary/lyrical, jazz and broadway jazz. It was through dancing and her passion for singing that Leah discovered her love of musical theatre and was accepted into a special fine arts high school, where she graduated at the top of her class.

Leah was granted a scholarship to study psychology at university in Canada, but at the same time she won her first professional acting role with a touring company. She dropped out of university to perform with them, only to find that after a few months the company’s funding ran out and she was out of a job, plus she couldn’t get back into her university course! With a philosophical and determined attitude she moved to Vancouver to pursue a film career, and soon found and agent and a role in a feature film. After appearing in ‘The Cycle‘ (starring Daryl Hannah), she also gained supporting roles in the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Watchmen‘, popular series ‘Supernatural‘, and the Sy-Fy original miniseries ‘Tin Man‘.

Leah’s star continues to shine in the ‘Battlestar Galactica‘ prequel series ‘Caprica‘ in which she appears as the Avatar Emmanuelle. She will soon portray the seductive vampiress Nettie in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse‘. Despite becoming a movie star, Leah still loves to perform on stage, singing and dancing at local venues in Vancouver whenever she can.

Leah looks forward to seeing all her fans at both the Sydney and Perth shows and will be appearing each Saturday 10.30am to 5.30pm and each Sunday 11am to 5pm for autograph* and photo* sessions, with one general public access Q&A daily per expo.
