Esad Ribic is a Croatian comic book artist, most notable for his work on various titles for Marvel Comics, including Secret Wars, Thor: God of Thunder, and Silver Surfer: Requiem.
Ribic’s love for art started during his high school years and was cemented after taking a job working for an animation company as an animator assistant. He became an animator and background artist, and worked on comics as a hobby.
His attention turned to comics after the studio folded, and he landed a job with Antarctic Press, a small manga oriented company from Texas. Here he worked on titles such as Code Name: Scorpio, Shotgun Mary: Son of the Beast, and Warrior Nun: Frenzy.
After this he moved onto DC/ Vertigo, illustrating some short stories including Four Horsemen, and then onto Marvel with X-Men Children of the Atom.
Since then Ribic has worked on titles such as Cable, Uncanny X-Men, Ultimate X-Men, Loki, and Sub-Mariner: The Depths.
Esad looks forward to meeting all his fans on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne in April 2017, and will participate in signing sessions throughout each Saturday (10.30am to 5.30pm) and Sunday (11am to 5pm) in both cities.
