The exotic and enchanting Dichen Lachman is one of ours, and she’s coming home to Oz! She’s of Australian and Tibetan descent, and was born in Kathmandu, Nepal. Dichen lived in Nepal until she was 7, when her family moved to Adelaide, Australia.

In 2005, Dichen joined the cast of the beloved and long-running Australian soap opera ‘Neighbours‘ as Nurse Katya Kinski. She originally auditioned for the part of Elle Robinson, (Paul Robinson’s daughter), but the producers decided to create the character Katya especially for her.

Dichen went on to appear in the mermaid movie, ‘Aquamarine‘, alongside teen star Emma Roberts. After Dichen finished shooting the role of Aaren in the 2009 film Bled, she then visited Hawaii to film the Sci-Fi Original ‘Tyrannosaurus Azteca‘, a time-travelling creature feature!

She is, of course, best known to us in the pivotal role of SIERRA / PRIYA in both seasons of Joss Whedon’s fan-favourite series ‘Dollhouse‘. As one of the lead cast members, she was central to a number of stories. The episode ‘Belonging’ was her star turn as Sierra’s life prior to becoming an Active is revealed. Her powerful performance in that episode – which featured her original Australian accent – won her many new fans.

Since appearing as Sierra, Dichen has starred as a jaded mobster in the short film Sunday Punch (2010) which is currently in post-production.

Come and welcome ‘Our Deech’ back to Australia as she returns Down Under to visit her fans at Supanova!

Dichen looks forward to seeing all her fans at both the Sydney and Perth shows and will be appearing each Saturday 10.30am to 5.30pm and each Sunday 11am to 5pm for autograph* and photo* sessions, with one Whedonverse Exclusive Q&A (Saturday) and one public  Q&A (Sunday) per expo.
