Christian Tamblyn was born in 1967 in Parramatta, Australia and was raised in the NSW county town of Kempsey. He left Kempsey at the ripe old age of 16 and joined the RAAF, where he became qualified as an Aircraft Engineer and also formed a longstanding D&D group with friends, beginning his interest in mythology and fantasy writing.
Since leaving the Airforce in 1993 he has worked as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with several major airlines and has also contracted his services in Australia and overseas while writing in his spare time. He is currently living with his wife and two boys in Brisbane, Australia and has a daughter with two grandchildren in Melbourne.
“My children grew up with Harry Potter, and are now emerging as young-adult fantasy readers. After telling them fantasy stories for years, they finally coerced me into putting pen to paper, bringing to life The Dragon of the Second Moon,” said Chris Tamblyn. “I am very proud if this, my first book, and look forward to continuing the adventures of Zanderhal in future books”.
He still works as an Engineer for a major Airline and devotes his free time to family, writing, sculpture and classic car restoration.
Christian will be joining us at both the Sydney and Perth Expos and looks forward to meeting all of his fans there. He will be appearing between 11 am and 5 pm both days of both shows.
