Alisha Jade is a Brisbane-based comics creator and the unstoppable force behind Petrie Press. Her major series, Seven has been serialised in Oi Oi Oi magazine and her minicomics works are being distributed internationally by Sparkler Distro. Her work has also featured in several anthologies, including Fly the Colour Fantastica, as well as in Starrytellers, which she co-produced and successfully kickstarted. Alisha will be bringing Starrytellers to Supanova, along with other new releases.

Organiser of several local launches and Brisbane’s Minicomicon, Alisha also joins Supanova in running the Banksia Project, designed to empower local women in comics. For her community work, Alisha was also awarded a Platinum Ledger Award.

Outside of creating comics, Alisha specialises in getting things done – with plans in the works for a new digest publication and two large collections, and an ever more accessible website linking the ladies of local comics with the world, there’s no rest for the wicked, and too much fun to stop!

Alisha looks forward to meeting all her fans on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne in April 2017, and will participate in signing sessions throughout each Saturday (10.30am to 5.30pm) and Sunday (11am to 5pm) in both cities.
