Supanova is very excited to welcome the beautiful young star of the Battlestar Galactica prequel series Caprica. Alessandra Torresani stars opposite Eric Stolz and Esai Morales as Zoe Graystone on SyFy’s critically-acclaimed new drama Caprica (named one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s “50 Best Reasons to Watch TV”). Caprica is set 58 earlier in the Galactica universe and differs significantly from its parent series. Alessandra’s Zoe is pivotal in this story of how a self-involved and success-intoxicated Colonial humanity first creates Cylons. This new imagining of a world only a few decades ahead of our own will explore the ethical implications of advances in artificial intelligence and robotics framed within “television’s first science-fiction family saga”.
Alessandra, a multi-talented performer, has starred on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “E.R.”, “Malcolm in the Middle”, “Arrested Development”, “Bones”, “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, “Happy Campers”, and the Joel Silver pilot “Newton”, among many others. By the time the Palo Alto, California native was asked to host “WB Kid’s Club” at nine years old, she was a veteran of numerous dance and athletic competitions, having already been named a national dance champion in jazz and tap, and achieving a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. Her long string of roles on some of television’s most-watched shows would soon begin, as well as star turns in the films “Lost & Found”, opposite David Spade, “Going to the Mat”, and “Baby Bedlam.”
Alessandra looks forward to meeting all her fans at both the Brisbane and Melbourne events in 2010. There are signing and photo sessions throughout each Saturday (10.30am to 5.30pm) and Sunday (11am to 5pm) excluding breaks. Alessandra is conducting Q&A sessions both days.
