Art Competition

We love art! Especially those of cool funky fresh characters and of course fanart! If you think you’ve got what it takes for being an artist than the Supanova art competition is for you!

Any and all submissions are accepted (as long as they follow our straightforward rules listed below) and are judged by a select panel of
professional artists and publishers. The grand finalist will be presented with the praise and adulation of their peers and a fantastic prize from our good friends at Wacom (winner announced at end of Cosplay Contest).

RULES

  1. Art can be of original characters or fan-art. However your work MUST be original. If we find that your work is a direct trace or copy of another artists work, your entry may be disqualified from the competition.
  2. All digital work submitted must be accompanied by either the original pencil sketch or a separate printout with layers/elements removed/not coloured/moved around in order to verify authenticity. These *must* be sighted by the art competition coordinator before the digital artwork will be considered eligible for submission. There will be no exceptions.
  3. You must only submit artwork on the day of the event. We will not be accepting mail in entries (until further notice).
  4. Strictly one entry per artist.
  5. Please keep the artwork no more than A3 in size due to the limited availability of wall space, we will still accept art if it is bigger than this size, but it may not be displayed in order to give everyone else an equal go.
  6. The artwork must be suitable for a family audience (ie: depictions of excessive violence, nudity, or adult themes are not welcome)
  7. All artwork must be collected by the artist or a proxy by 5:30pm on Sunday. All artwork left uncollected will become the property of Supanova Expo.
